Did you like/hate Mike Tyson Mysteries parody, it was hilarious!
How did you rate Venture Bros which is a Jonny Quest adult parody?

The Venture Bros. spoofed Scooby-Doo 17 years ago and did it a thousand times better.

Well, yeah. Instead of just constant swearing & all round vulgarity, The writing for Venture Bros in general was absolutely fantastic.

The parodies were excellent.

I don't see any relationship between the Mike Tyson mystery show and Scooby Doo. It's clearly inspired by Scooby Doo but I don't believe there are any Scooby Doo characters in this show. Tyson's investigative team is made up of his daughter, a gay ghost and a talking bird. The Velma show features warped versions of characters from the Scooby Doo show.

I also don't see any direct relationship between Venture Bros and Johnny Quest. The show features cameos by Johnny Quest characters but they did not use their names from the original Johnny Quest show. The Venture Bros. are a separate team of adventurers.

The Velma show takes a team of heroes from the original Scooby Doo show and transforms them into a team of unrecognizable characters.

I also don't see any direct relationship between Velma and Scooby Doo. The show features cameos by Scooby Doo characters but, Scooby Doo isn't even in it.

In my original post, I was referring to the Scooby Doo shows instead of the Scooby Doo character. I primarily watched reruns of the 70's shows Scooby Doo, Where are you and The New Scooby Doo Mysteries. Additionally, I was also referring to the Johnny Quest show instead of the actual character.

I see a direct relationship between the Velma show and the Scooby Doo shows since regular characters from the original show are also regular characters on the Velma show. A cameo is a brief appearance by a famous character or celebrity but the classic characters are series regulars on the Velma show.

The article below states that WB Animation did not want Scooby Doo to appear in the show but I don't understand why WB would allow warped versions of the classic characters to appear in the Velma show.
