Why is it mainly a black male with a white woman?

Just wondering, rarely do I see a couple being a white male and black female in movies or commercials.

Just seems strange that if they want to break down racial barrier, why use a stereotype couple ie: a black male with a white woman?

For myself, this movies racial subplot may have been more interesting with a black female.

Is the norm in series / movies now a days, single black men go for white women, single white men go for white women, black women rarely have any leading roles in movies / series, you would think that would be the biggest segment of the population that would be screaming against it. But am getting tired of seeing interracial couples, sure I know it happens, but not NEARLY as much as it does in series / movies now a days. I have nothing against it, but don't want it to be mainly what I see either.

Ha!  Ya know, it probably doesn't happen nearly as much as you think it does in movies/tv...it just catches your eye and then you take a big mental note of it...making it feel like it is happening a lot in your mind. For example: Think of all the movies tv shows you have seen recently and then tell us if 'black male with white woman' (or any other coupling) is really what you "mainly see". ...Or try selecting 10 random movies from IMDb.

Better "little bigot" than unrecoverable color-blind libtard like you obviously are.

This is a remake of a movie that starred Harry Belafonte and Inger Stevens and Mel Ferrer. The World, The Flesh and the Devil, 1959. It was a not very well known and obviously controversial film for its time..

...this is based on the book of the same title.

No it's not.

reply

It's premise is very much similar.

I wouldn't have said it that way, but pretty much smack on.

So, why does Hollywood need to be pushing post-apocalyptic survival scenarios in the first place?! 

You people are God awful sick with your racial hangups. The 21st Century will be hard on you and your kind.

Seems like the 21st century is in favor of racial diversity instead of race mixing which Deadwood seems to adore, along with brainwashed color-blind libtards like you seem to be.

You seem to be a nut.
Here's something I made up that isn't true but you'll think it is and lose sleep over it anyway.
There is a reason there is a black man white woman pairing in movies. It's the same reason they have the white male asian woman pairing. It's to breed white people out of existence.
It's true. I swear it is. I mean, I'm lying and made it up but it's true I swear. They're trying to get us to breed ourselves out of existence.

reply

That is such a good idea, seriously.
