I'm so tired of most all new horror movies about 90 percent of them are demons or ghosts honestly when are they going to come up with something new. Not to let mention ghosts and demons are as believable as big foot. These movies try to scare people with cheap sounds or things magically popping up and I'm just kinda tired of them but somehow all the horror movies that keep coming out either have ghosts or demons which just isn't scary at all.

shareI agree! "These movies try to scare people with cheap sounds" So true. Because of the cheap sounds they have to lower the volume of the dialog to make the cheap sounds more effective. The 2 main characters spend most of the time whispering to each other. Totally ruined the movie for me. I rated it 1 star on IMDB. Such a shame. It could have been a great movie otherwise.

The Loved Ones (2009), American Mary (2012), Excision (2012), Teeth (2007), Inside (2007)--all horror movies that blow everything else out of the water. All are, in my opinion, criminally underrated as well.
The point? You are watching the wrong kind of horror movies. You cannot rely on every mainstream release to satisfy. The best horror movies are the ones very few have seen or given a chance because of lukewarm IMDB ratings.
I agree - bit maybe you should check out more foreign horrors or low budget/independent ones - they tend to have far more care put into them then these tacky flicks made for money.

Its called gotcha horror, it would be like someone jumping out of a dark space to scare you. Movies like Poltergeist and Pumpkinhead were much scarier.

sharePeople that says nowadays horror sucks, definitely havent look any further. Yes, Annabelle is terrible, but thats the only horror we got in front of our eyes now. Best horrors are down there hidden, not up there showing.
