i found it a bit underwhelming at first, but it grew on me. also, it's one of the first releases of a24 films - by now the most icon brand for indie cinema.
i just watched "all of us strangers" and scott was great in that role, but as a 20-something fresh from college he's just not very fitting. i remember having a classmate in college who was 30 and we gave him the nickname "old man" :D
also the VR game. if you don't understand the concept of a story, you can't create story based games.
this show is so riddled with plot holes and contradictions it hurts.

this film is one rare cases where the 4:3 aspect ratio is justified though, as it reinforces the feeling of being trapped in the hole.

this bugged me too. also, did most of these people deserve such a punishment at all? they seemed to be just some poor mexicans who are involved in this just for a few bucks to make ends meet. i reckon they didn't get payed a lot by the blonde woman or was it mentioned that they get an equal share? and then they went through the painful games and died anyway, just because of being a few seconds too slow. at first i thought, maybe that's the point that they weren't supposed to survive the traps, because jigsaw was given "false hope" with his cancer treatment, hence the traps are designed to give them false hope, too. but then, gabriella surviving her trap didn't make sense.

at their first show, fats was talking from the opposite of the room. a ventriloquist can't fake the direction of where the voice is coming from. well, maybe he could fake it by playing a tape with the voice. but that wasn't hinted in the movie. so either it's a plot hole or fats is actually alive.

if there's one thing you can't accuse the movie of, it's this. unlike other modern blockbusters, this wasn't shot in a studio in front of a green screen. it was shot on real locations in thailand, no "cgi sceneries", but real landscapes.

definitely the other way around, as barbie made almost twice as much on the box office. and a small history biopic like oppenheimer would never have received that much hype, even as a nolan movie, if it wasn't for the barbenheimer marketing.
the film was made for apple+ tv, so it doesn't have to make money on the box office.
