i read that sophia lillis, the actress who played the girl, also wants jessica chastain to play her grown up character.
and honestly, i see no resemblance with amy adams - she has a distinctive tiny nose that doesn't look anything like sophia.

having seen the movie by now, it makes sense to me that pennywise looks young. it reflects the bullies in some way and juvenile waywardness.
yeah, i guess this all adds up. also, the movie had a massive hype even before it went into production, when true detective director cary fukunaga was in talks to helm it. now the movie is out and accompanied with great reviews, as opposed to 'the dark tower' (16% rottentomatoes).
yeah, but then it's just a religious cult with grotesque views, which opens a new box of "failing to suspend disbelief" problems, like how could this regimen take over if they don't offer conclusive solutions to an actual crisis, and are "just another cult".
well, the regimen in the show justifies their morals with an alleged inevitability, which is contradicted by the fact that there is no actual inevitability.

apparently kim min-hee is not a lesiban in real life. this is what she said in an interview:
