I can tell if I'm stressed because of my dreams. I have a couple of dreams that are recurring, and after some self reflection I realized that stress causes them. The most common one is tornadoes. If it's a big single tornado that's really destructive I know that there is just one issue that's bugging me. I've also stood in a field with hundreds of little tornadoes that were knee high when I was just overwhelmed with a bunch of little things. I've also had sleep paralysis. It's not the same as what R_Kane was talking about, but it can be terrifying. I know for me it usually happens when I'm sleeping on my back.
