There is typically a rise in Tuesday box office because of $5 deals across the country
Nolan had little to do with it. They are only using his name for recognition. He is like the only mainstream director I'd argue since Spielberg that has a big enough name to sell the movie without even knowing whose in them.
Gitesh Pandya is just a DC fanboy. He mentions JL box office then quickly tries desperately to find another comparison. Which is impossible because you know it's Justice League? This should be well on the way to a billion already!
Irrelevant when Thor 3 will easily top $750m. Not to mention this is DC's biggest movie? Thor 3 is making that amount in comparison.......the second sequel.....and it's not even in the upper tier of the Marvel big hitters.

This is the 20th best opening for a superhero movie. Adjusted for inflation, 30th, just ahead of Ang Lee's Hulk from 2003.

I chuckle at folks that chuckle at such things. They obviously don't know how the movie business works.
I think a $700-billion dollar movie will come more of a rarity with the genre though in the future due to superhero genre fatigue. Marvel has it all mapped out until 2025 and to be honest I am only bothered to catch a handful of those in theaters....
i like how they pointed out that the bad guy in this movie has the same objective as zod does in man of steel. like wtf?
