Animals will randomly appear in the surrounding forest. The people grew crops. The electricity just worked like magic they don't know why, I forget about the water though it's probably the same.
I agree that the trailer misled audiences but i really enjoyed the movie for what it was. I'm conflicted though cause I did watch this at home. I wonder if I actually went out and paid to watch this movie would I feel the same way? Or would I have felt cheated?
They're probably leaving the door open for a potential sequel. But considering how mixed the reviews are who knows if that will ever happen.
I just recently saw it like a year ago and enjoyed it. I did not see that ending coming, and when I showed it to my girlfriend the other night she didn't see it either.
I didn't know about the 'ritual' only letting a few of them be alive at a time. I must have missed that. But yeah, Nic Cage did get a little bit fucked up. But I would imagine the town having all kinds of weapons to take on the animatronics. I know that's not part of the narrative though, so we have to believe that the town was so frightened of their power that they couldn't do anything.
Yeah, I understand if he was shirtless for a large part of the film, but no. Also his character was supposed to be a badass and there weren't any scenes like that.
