I think all they needed to do was play any clip from Open Mike With Mike Bullard to prove that his career was over well before the magazine article.
Edit 1.8/10 on IMDB. Great show.
Not sexual harassment...stalking. He got off with a slap on the wrist. He then tried to counter sue saying his dating and acting career were impacted by a magazine article about the affair. That was thrown out of court....rightfully so.
