FACT: The German justice system does not recognize the right to free speech.

Here's the proof. https://freespeechunion.org/young-afd-politician-convicted-for-publishing-gang-rape-statistics-in-connection-with-afghan-migration/

How dare you talk about the german government like that. https://twitter.com/culturefever/status/1787541000690233821

reply

"Here's the proof"
No, it's not!

Hate speech, incitement of popular hatred, etc. are illegal in Germany. Promoting hatred is not free speech!

BTW, May 8th was Holocaust Remembrance Day.

reply

"Hatespeech"(Which is just speech you hate) most certainly is free speech. Most are just not protected from the consequences of it. In America, we are protected from government persecution, but not from getting smacked in the mouth.

Different story outside the US.

reply

"Hatespeech"(Which is just speech you hate) most certainly is free speech."

Nope.

Hate speech:
"Abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or similar grounds."

Freedom of speech:
Freedom of speech is the right to speak, write, and share ideas and opinions without facing punishment from the government. The government is still free to restrict speech in certain circumstances. Some of these circumstances include:
Obscenity and Indecency; Defamation; Incitement; Fighting words

Remember, you're not allowed to yell fire in a crowded movie theater.

Yes, they are stricter about hate speech outside the U.S..

reply

They are able to use any part of that definition to consider anything they want as hatespeech.

reply

Can you give an example?

reply

You most certainly are allowed to yell "fire!" in a crowded theater. If the theater's on fire, that is.

And this is what's insidious about "hate" speech laws; they make no allowances for the truth. If I quote some numbers from the FBI Uniform Crime statistics at a local NAACP meeting, I'm at risk for hate speech accusations. A Brit who makes very factual statements about the Rotherham grooming and rape scandal shouldn't be shocked when the local constabulary knocks on his door. Mark Steyn was dragged before a kangaroo "human rights" court in Canada to defend himself for offending Muslims. On and on it goes.

And that hints at the second problem with these laws - they undermine the centuries-old concept of equality before the law, which is at the very heart of the concept of "muh sacred democracy!" that leftists have turned into their golden calf. As a very broad example, if we had a law that said "any use of the words "faggot" or "nigger" are now forbidden in public", we could debate the wisdom of that, but at least it would be clear what the line is. But with hate speech laws there are differing circumstances in which these words are permitted. Barkevious is allowed to use the latter when screaming at his white 10th grade history teacher, but if the same teacher allows that word to slip from him mouth in the presence of Barky and his homies, he's in hot water. Now we no longer have rule of law, we simply have special interests scrambling for power in order to use the law as a weapon.

Your support of hate speech laws is engendering an all-against-all that tears at the fabric of society. You may find it palatable at the moment, because you think you're winning, but when the dust settles don't be surprised to see the target has now been applied to your back.

reply

U.S. doesn't have hate speech laws. The discussion pertains to Europe, Canada and other countries which do. The laws are very specific and not loosely applied. Meanwhile, your party voted for legislation making it illegal to criticize Israel which is clearly unconstitutional.

reply

You really don't pay attention, do you? You've got your talking points and, by golly, you're going to spit them out even if they're wholly inapplicable.

reply

Nothing I wrote is false. I'll take your ad hominem as your surrender.

reply

Keelai hits bottom, keeps digging.

reply

"U.S. doesn't have hate speech laws."
You literally gave the definition of hate speech in this thread leas than 2 days ago.

reply

They ain't a big fan of it in Canada either.

reply

No one in Europe has free speech.

reply

And the Left is doing their damnedest to stop it in the U.S.

reply

A decent portion of republicans are also in on that.... The Illegal Anti-Semitism bill shows is very telling.

reply

Some pigs are more equal than others, don't you know?

reply

Some pigs, some lizards...

reply

Now they want to put the recent protestors on no-fly lists. I'm sure the GOP wing of the uniparty will be as shocked as anyone else when this new tactic is used against them for Wrong Think®.

But we really shouldn't be surprised as it was Bush and a Republican-controlled Congress that gave us The Patriot Act.

reply

So you’re saying the U.S. Left is part of the German justice system?

reply

You dont think the modern day U.S. left would have sided with the germans during world war II?

reply

The WWII Germans were mild in comparison to the modern radical leftists.

reply

Wow, a conviction for repeating accurate government statistics.

It's a good thing she didn't say anything that was considered antisemitic, or she would probably be serving jail time.

The Cabal made an example of Germany by neutering them. $87 billion and still counting.
