Your favorite villain character?

Do you have a favorite character villain? One that you or perhaps many would find a comical villain. For instance, the two bonehead house burglars from "Home Alone" I'm thinking could be well known and even liked by many. My favorite character villain who hilariously cracked me up was "Pauly the hitman" from the original "Weekend At Bernie's" movie.

It might be because I really like Alan Rickman but I like Hans Gruber, The Sheriff of Nottingham, and Snape as villains.

Hans Landa was the best part of Inglorious Basterds.

reply

That's a good list S👍

I know it's off topic but if you want to see Rickman as an unusual hero watch January Man

reply

I remember that movie, had a really good cast.

Joker is usually amusing, despite being a homicidal maniac he's a pretty funny character

reply

If Pauly the hitman was still alive I would assign him to bump off the Frankenmonkey. He was the best hitman ever, he would kill three times over just too be sure he completed the job lol.

The Kurgan from Highlander, Goldfinger and Darth Vader, all three have their own theme tune too!

Imagine witnessing that. LOL

reply

Yes! The Kurgan is one charismatic character! Clancy Brown at his best.

Michelle Pfeiffer as a witch in ' Stardust ' (2007)

Alice Krige as a witch in ' Gretel & Hansel ' (2020)

But most of all

Michelle Forbes as Admiral Helena Cain in ' Battlestar Galactica ' (2003-09)

For me the best evil characters are the ones who are very charismatic and have good qualities as well as bad. Admiral Cain could be a ruthless monster but she was also a great leader who cared about the people under her command, so long as they were loyal to her. It helps me to understand why people followed Hitler.

weird i dont remember her at all.

She was the one with a sock over her head.

Tim Roth as Archie Cunningham in 'Rob Roy'

That was a heck of a realistic looking sword fight at the end!

reply

My favorite sword fight.

From the time he first shows up, to the climatic sword fight at the end, Roth as Cunningham Is just my favorite bad guy ever.

Terry Silver - Karate Kid Part III
Garthe Knight - Knight Rider
Rojan - Star Trek the Original Series

reply

Terry Silver was great, it still amuses me that he's younger than Ralph Macchio!

reply

Yes. I'm hoping we haven't seen the last of Mr. Terry Silver.

Comedic villains:
Kevin Pollack as Janni Gogolak in The Whole Nine Yards
Mike Myers as Dr Evil

Serious villains:
Alec Baldwin in nearly anything he plays a bad guy in (only a few exceptions).
Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith in Matrix
Ricardo Montalban as Kahn in Star Trek 2

reply

No villain can spout Melville like Montalban as Khan
