Your thoughts on Jane Fonda?

Aka "Hanoi Jane"? Her animosity is legendary.

She suggested murder as a way to fight abortion a few months ago on the view. Probably not a likeable person.

She was good looking in her day though. Barbarella is only worth watching for her imo.

"murder as a way to fight abortion"

how so?

the usual "abortion is murder" or some new angle?

reply

It was after Row v Wade was repealed. She speaking in favor of abortion rights. She was asked what else they can do other than protest, and she said murder. The hosts of the view dismissed it as if she was joking. There should be a clip somewhere

All my homies adore Barbarella.

I like her acting. I think that holding something someone did over 50 years ago, which they have expressed regret for is pointless. The war was unjust, and the US never should have been there in the first place, so I really have no ill will towards her mistake back then.

When it comes to artists of all ilk, if I only enjoyed music or movies from those who I agree with their personal choices there would be very few movies, tv shows, music, theatre, or art that I could watch, or listen to.

one of those actresses i haven't paid attention to in 40 years

reply

Same here. I guess I can honestly say I have no thoughts on her.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is she dead yet

reply

She was hot back in the day. Don't really know anything else about her.

reply

Vastly overrated as a dramatic actress.

Okay in dramatic roles but never truly brilliant, and couldn't do comedy, historical, or foreign roles to save her life.

reply

Sounds like you're not fond-A-Jane!
