Dwayne Johnson says it wasn't him "the idiot co-star". Now let's hear all other to eliminate themselves

“I’d Like To Find Out Who Did This”: Dwayne Johnson Weighs In After Rebecca Ferguson Revealed She Was Screamed At By “Idiot” Co-Star

Rebecca Ferguson has got Dwayne Johnson in her corner in a grudge match with a former co-star.

Ferguson revealed on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast that she had confronted an unnamed fellow actor after they had “screamed” abuse at her on the set of a film.

Her comments have sparked speculation about the identity of the individual. The person’s gender was not confirmed by Ferguson, who is currently starring in Dune: Part Two.

Ferguson has ruled out Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise, who she starred alongside in The Greatest Showman and Mission Impossible respectively.

Johnson has also appeared to rule himself out of the online chatter by posting his support for Ferguson after the pair worked together on 2014’s Hercules.

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullshit,” The Rock wrote on Twitter, now X. “Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman.”

The former WWE star added: “I’d like to find out who did this.”

Remembering the incident, Ferguson said: “I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out.

“And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at. But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”

Ferguson recalled how the person would say things to her like, “You call yourself an actor?” and “This is what I have to work with?”, in front of the film’s crew. “I stood there just breaking,” she said.

Ferguson said she later confronted the actor, demanding that they be replaced with a tennis ball. When this request was denied, she asked to act to the back of her co-star’s head.

I love it. Dwayne Johnson is so protective of it's image that he could not see people speculate and even assume it might be him. So he was the first one to speak up.

Honestly I'm glad. Didn't want it to be Dwayne Johnson and he cares about his image too much to behave like this on set. People would rat him out to tabloids. And considering how mighty Rock is now - she would not call him Idiot now.

So next should be Ryan Reynolds to deny it was him. Then hopefully other will speak up. And the one who will not is the guilty one.

My money are still on Hugh Grant. Totally fits his grumpy persona. Jeremy Renner second choice. Don't want to believe it was Fassbender since I like him. Please don't be it, Fassy.

sounds like you're trying to start a witch hunt

reply

There could also be Chris Hemsworth (from MIB: International) or Ewan McGregor (Doctor Sleep).

reply

Jeremy Renner is impossible. They only work on two Mission Impossible, on the set the director is not the boss, the real boss is Tom Cruise, he control everything.

Rebecca Ferguson said: "I remember the producers came up and said, ‘You can’t do this to number one. We have to let this person be on set.'”

There are no way this happen to Tom Cruise, he is number one, he is the boss.

I think its Meryl , thats why she didn't say the gender, if shed said it was a 'her' it'd be easy to work out.

Also idt a guy would yell at a nice hot gal like her, its more likely to be another woman

reply

But I don't think she would call Meryl Streep "idiot" now. Meryl has too much respect in Hollywood. They see each other at awards. It's too rude. She would say that it was "big actor". But not use word "idiot".

People suspect Jake Gyllenhaal in Life. Or Ewan McGregor.

Can't see it being Hemsworth.

It could also be TV show. The White Queen was in 2013 when she was newcomer. Max Irons did 9 episodes. In that time Hollywood tried to make him happen. He was one of the "IT Boys of the moment". I remember.

Sher didn't call him Star. She called him "number one on a call sheet". Which he totally was at that moment for that show. New teen heartthrob that was getting offers. Did Dorian Gray, Red Riding Hood, The Host.

Then his Host flopped and career didn't elevate him to stardom.

reply

She specifically states it was on a film

It almost sounds like it was Hugh Grant on the set of "Florence Foster Jenkins."

reply

I try but I just can't see him doing it, I mean I can't see him losing it on an attractive younger woman.

Her line about want to act with a tennis ball instead suggests it was an vfx heavy shoot, so that be Hercules (Ian McShane? Rufus Sewell? Joseph Finnes? John Hurt?), Life?(Jake? Ryan?) MiB4 (Hemsworth? Tessa Thompson?), Dr Sleep (Ewan?), Reminiscence (Thandie Newton?) Dune? (doubtful shed be bad mouthing the franchise she's promoting) ..

And I think you can safely take out some of those names like Hemsworth, Ryan, Jake, Ewan, Ian McShane,

reply

Honestly, only Hugh Grant has a reputation of being rude grumpy jerk.

Could Hemsworth had a bad day? Who knows. Anything is possible in Hollywoodland.

reply

My money is on Grant. I know someone who met him and that is exactly their experience too.

reply

Ok. My bad. I missed the point about "film". Thought she didn't revel what exactly project that was.
That narrows to movies, of course.

Michael Fassbender

From the set of "The Snowman."

reply

Hope not. I don't want anything to impede him being in the new Highlander (hes rumoured to be the villain opposite Cavill)

reply

Bitch needs to name names.

reply

Agree if you are going to throw things out like this you should be naming.

but its hard to trust a lot of these celebs who can be real drama queens & some people are so over sensitive.

reply

She said “get off MY set” when confronting him. Wasn’t she more or less the lead role in Dr Sleep?
Ewen McGregor??

reply

Interesting point,it does sound like she was quite important maybe co-lead and not early in in her career (so not Hercules etc)

Also saying shed act opposite a tennis ball instead implies lots of vfx around?

reply

I watched some clips of her and Ewan promoting Dr Sleep and they seemed to be totally comfortable with each other so I think it wasn’t him. I doubt the film with Hugh Grant had much visual effects.
So maybe it was Jake Gyllenhaal from the sci fi flick Life?

reply

They only had one or two scenes together in Doctor Sleep as it is, so yeah I would pretty much rule out McGregor. He doesn't even strike me as that sort of person anyway.

reply

It was Timothée Chalamet, that little bitch
