I'm not sure but I certainly contributed to it. I saw Rogue One 2-x in the theatre whereas I never bothered to watch Allied in the cinemas. I guess the Lt. & his wife did ditch their lawyer, from the ending it seems, Stewart & Co. won't go after them. As for whether the wife was raped or not, we will never really know. It is left up to the audience to decide. And finally, whether the Lt. said those things in jail to his cellmate, I really doubt it. First, it's clear they didn't get on very well. I doubt he would've said anything to him of all people. Also, if the Lt. was guilty (he knew his wife wasn't raped), then he would've been quite smart & cool headed in maintaining his innocence, I doubt he would've slipped up in his jail cell for someone he didn't even like. 3rd, based on his intense reaction in the courtroom, it's pretty clear & obvious to me that the statement was a lie and made up by the jail mate to get whatever offer the prosecutor has to offer and as a retaliation to a man he didn't like. I think she did love both the daughter and Max, remember what she said to Max when she was giving birth? But I did wonder if it was a misdirection, that she could be innocent and someone else close to them was the spy. That she will die or Max's dies for her only to be revealed that she was innocent all along. I liked this film a lot surprised by the low rating, it should be higher. Lol, omg I food not know that! What a nice trivia. We don't know if they will team up though but in Unbreakable, I've watched it 5x again since Split, lol - it was mentioned that there are 2 kinds of villains: 1 who fights the hero with his brawn and another with his brain. It is great news and I am very excited! So have you seen every film in the last 100 years? Thinking everyone has indicates you're missing a few screws yourself. Probably the result of Marvel fans looking for other exciting superhero films and those who have just seen Split. This is not a Marvel film. The Sixth Sense, The Village, Split, and Signs were not predictable. In fact even non Shyamalan fans can't accuse his films of predictability, they always miss the mark. This is not not everyone, you also probably would've hated The Godfather films and Lawrence of Arabia, films that take their time and focus on character driven themes. That's your problem, entering this film thinking of a twist Actually Kevin was in the Unbreakable script for the first film that he took out and was planning on putting him in the second film. Not true. The Beast/Kevin/other personalities were in the original Unbreakable script and he intended Unbreakable to be a trilogy even back then. Wow! I want to watch that now, thanks! I was like an excited idiot in the cinema when the film panned into the diner and the music started playing, lol! I was jumping up and down and excitedly telling my brother 'It's like The Avengers!' - he's like 'huh?' I repeated 'like The Avengers! Unbreakable! The Avengers!' I was so incoherent, lol! I couldn't find words to express my excitement! The twist is probably more for Unbreakable fans and they're the only ones to get it. Another poster below mentioned that the twist is the change in genre from a psychological thriller to a superhero film. I agree. But there is also a second meaning to the twist, in that this is a covert or stealth sequel to Shyamalan's greatest film - Unbreakable. For many of us Unbreakable fans, we have been clamoring for a sequel especially ever since we heard that Shyamalan intended it to be a trilogy. Going into this film, we never expected it so imagine our excitement when we found out that this is an origin story for a supervillain in his Unbreakable universe. Just let that sink in. 1. No one has ever ever made a silent surprise sequel, Shyamalan has done it first and I can see many people imitating this hence forth. 2. No one has ever made an origin story for a Super Villain either and Shyamalan again has broken new ground in making it first and doing it well. Remember, Shyamalan made Unbreakable before the plethora of Marvel films today and made an origin superhero film grounded in reality way before Batman Begins. I think he deserves accolades for all of this and I am very excited for the third installment. Unbreakable - 10 The Sixth Sense - 10 Split - 9 Signs - 9 The Village - 8 After Earth - 8 The Visit - 7.5 The Happening - 7 Watched The Lady in the Water & The Last Airbender but don't remember it enough to rate it. They are playing the same age plus they look about the same age too, Knightley has always looked older than her age while Bloom looked younger. Yeah, I never forgot that shirt when I saw this back in 1998 but I think you need to be pretty cut and have a small waist to look as good as LDP did in it. I loved his death scene, so hilarious! & LOL at that dolphin line!
