I agree, I prefer this over Taken actually. But the zoom in/out was annoying Imo. I liked him actually and his initial hatred for his father was understandable Imo. He changed by the end and I liked that, this us a film about an estranged father and his son. both parents are tall hence a tall daughter I'm rewatching this and the ex-wife is unbearable, a truly unlikable character from the first time you meet her. The reason women are prioritized in custody battles is: 1. they carry the kid for 9 months, that's no easy task 2. they continue breastfeeding 1-2 years after birth so children rely more on the mother's presence than the father's 3. women generally have maternal instincts and tend to sacrifice everything for their offsprings 4. there is usually a stronger bond between mother and child compared to father and child 5. mothers generally make a bigger sacrifice for their children than father's do These are only general stereotypes and there are exceptions of course. BTW, calling your Western society 'feminazi' indicates sexists views, which may extend to your daughter/sister/mother/wife/gf/etc. I saw a similar type advertised on an old 20s video on YT but that was a foldable one and looked quite different from the one here. Tbh, I love the tiny car here, you won't have a problem looking for parking space. I want one actually! What if that girl or woman is killing your entire family, you don't have a right to hit them still? There are plenty of reasons to hate her actually. What about Saturday Night Fever? I grew up watching and loving a lot of 80s films as well. But there are a lot of popular 80s teen films I didn't care for and this is one of them, Dirty Dancing is another. I just liked the soundtrack to this film tbh. I don't want to come across as unfeeling and needlessly cruel but so did I. She was truly an unlikable character. I did not like her either and tbh, I didn't find her pretty and she had a boyish body to boot. And the music playing wasn't even that good. Can you post it here? I'm watching this now. I decided to check this after I saw a young, hot, sexy, stud Gazzara in Anatomy of a Murder. And he's even hotter in this film, OMG! Despite his sociopathic character, I couldn't help but be attracted to him, even more here than he was in AOAM! I also agree with his scene with Cockroach, Perrin did come across a sexual predator, you could see him blackmailing Jocko into having relations with him in exchange for him to keep quiet. But I disagree, Gazzara is classically handsome, dark, beautiful eyes, thick & long black eye lashes - he was very beautiful here. I never knew he was ever this beautiful in his youth! Hair really does make a difference in one's looks. LOL, yeah I figured it out from the get go but yes, Fassbender was very good in this! I haven't see AVP or AVP2 but I agree with your rating: Alien (5/5) Aliens (5/5) Covenant (4/5) Prometheus (4/5) Alien 3 (3/5) Alien Resurrection (I found this quite bad actually) (2/5) "prosecutions" - ? Dumber than getting lost in the cave/ship or petting the alien cobra? LOL! I think some of you are blinded by your rage and are too biased to see things rationally. I just saw Alien Covenant and I disagree. The characters certainly make mistakes and do stupid things but they are human failings and not the dumb things the crew of Prometheus did (like petting the alien cobra). An example is the new Captain who is clearly way over his head in his new role. He is shown to be an emotional man and an insecure one that is struggling with the new command he is given. So blinded by these failings, he makes one wrong move/mistake, landing on an untested/unresearched planet. And we are given a glimpse of this potential failing when he fails to allow the crew to give a brief nod to the former Captain and misconstrues when they take a 5 minute break to do so. And even through his mistakes, he realizes his fault, acknowledges it, and apologizes. If that does not evoke empathy, then you fail to see your own flaws yourself. Tennessee makes a similar rash mistake, one he is warned constantly about yet does so anyway for the blinded love he had for his wife. Many characters here make mistakes only within the reasonable & empathetic realm of humanity, and many try to make up for it later on unlike those in Prometheus. So, yes, I disagree with you very much so. How could Prometheus destroy the Space Jockey when you knew next to nothing about them? Personally, I really liked Prometheus so wanted to see a film that was merely shown as a flashback in Alien Covenant. But we might still get it yet, I hope! I also liked Alien Covenant and the complexities & the turmoil of David isn't new to Ridley Scott. But though I liked it, I hope we do get a prequel to Alien Covenant showing the journey of both Shaw & David, we never really got the full story as to what may have happened to her.
