Clint Eastwood, even if not in an action role I think Sean Penn had boxed before, so I'd give him the edge despite the size gap. I fully agree! I've always felt that respectfully telling Benny that he was retired would have been a more appropriate response. I always felt that Carlito should have handled Benny Blanco with a little more tact. Sure, don't roll over for him, but some basic respect might have gone a long way. That scene always bugged me. He should have been as honest about everything (except being on the boat). Just say, "Saw him tonight and we parted ways...he was selling me out to the DA". Instead he looks at a guy who saw him in the hospital and denies being there. Please tell me that EVERY faculty member involved in the decision to let her volunteer has been fired! This is horrifying! She a sexually sadistic murderer and someone thought she should be around children?!??!?!?! Agreed Why would you wish bad on anyone? If you don't like someone that is fine, don't watch their movies, but why would you want her career hurt? Precisely! As a matter of fact I would not have even confronted the friend, out of fear that he might mean us harm and tip the cult people off that we are suspicious. I'd just quietly pull my friends aside and have a chat with them, while smiling and playing dumb with the cult people. I'd pretend I'm very happy and then as a group leave in the middle of the night as quietly as possible. I think the ones who were killed were looking to talk to the FBI. If you do your 25 to 40 years and have given them no reason to question your loyalty I'm sure you will be fine when it comes time to retire. They might keep you close to keep tabs on you ( invites to company parties and such) just to be safe. Unless they have reason to believe you will talk I'm sure you are fine. Criminals can sometimes appear generous when tossing money around, but that did not make him nice. He would have had Rocky shot in the blink of an eye if Rocky got out of line. A terrifying agonizing death.......yeah I'd be shrieking in a high pitched voice too I never said that what Floyd did was acceptable. I never denied that he was resisting. I never implied he deserved a nice pat on the head. Chauvin had every right to be as rough as possible with him when arresting him, but once the cuffs were on the arrest was over. What happened after the cuffs went on was Chauvin getting his own personal digs in. I did not argue that it did or didn't. My argument was that regardless of what caused his death, kneeling on the neck of a handcuffed man is unacceptable. OK, let me play devils advocate. Even if it could be proven that kneeling on his neck is not what caused Floyds death, it was still unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, I'm not part of the "defund" crowd, and while I support a cops right to use as much force as necessary to get the cuffs on to a resisting suspect, once those cuffs are on, the suspect is no longer a threat and has rights. Regardless of what crimes Floyd had committed up until that point, kneeling on the neck of a handcuffed man is needless sadism and unacceptable for anyone with a badge. I'm no lawyer but to the best of my knowledge torturing a restrained suspect is against the law. Arresting Floyd was Chauvin's job, not punishing him. In any civilized society punishment is always to be left to a judge, not whoever feels in the mood to dish out a little pain. Or for that matter why not wait till some time that Mikey is alone. In the grand scheme of their drug operations is it really worth bringing that much heat on themselves over some bearer bonds? Oh right, I forgot that detail. Still, wouldn't it make more sense to threaten her than to kill her? Killing her might drive him over the edge. "Also, Mr. Hunsacker came forward and was going to blow the whistle on the whole operation, hence the reason they had Amanda killed" I never understood that. he is threatening to approach the police so they kill his daughter? It seems that would make him even more of a threat. Why not just kill him and make it look like an accident or a robbery gone bad? Exactly! It's almost like they wanted the police to realize there were some serious heavy hitters behind this. Way too high profile. I knew Manny was not the brightest guy, but that scene still always amazes me in the "what were you thinking " way. Darwins law
