Fair points. Interesting lol. I don't even know if I'd recommend this to a child. It's just so melodramatic. I hate to prolong the argument but there still wasn't a direct reference in Statham knowing the guy was the one on the call with Rashaad. Yes, Statham knew he was the ring leader of that branch but for all he knew it could've been one of the many scam artists in the room. Not knowing that "he" was the culprit though (unless I missed the reveal). Agreed. It was also extremely frustrating that he (as well as the audience) didn't get any closure on who scammed Eloise. This was more of a comparison to the wife, who was elected president. Which further proves OP's point in that the Predator in this film was far inferior to those of later films. That wasn't a race to 1st place if that makes sense. That was depicting where he was in the race, which was between 3rd and 4th place. We can assume the 1st and 2nd place winners already crossed the finish line off-camera. Overall it would've been nice for them to let us know which manufacturer placed in 1st and 2nd just for a little closure and to help avoid confusion like in your case.
His team didn't win the race as depicted in the movie. They placed third. Still, they did make it to the podium with the champagne-spraying ritual.
The film depicted just that....his team placing in 3rd. What did they get wrong about that? You're not alone. Only through repetitive searches I was able to remember the title. It doesn't exactly associate itself with the film well at all. So you're in the camp thinking there was a second killer? I've seen this floated around other forums but just curious to hear your take.
Reddit is totally useless for smaller discussions.
Reddit in general shuns discussion unless you're in the hivemind majority. I blame the voting system. The irony with this site is you're more likely to get a response within a thread on something politically based vs. creating a thread talking about the movie itself. It's frustrating af. It definitely has been of the better super-hero films we've received within the past few years to say the least. It was only because of the Ezra drama leading up to it's release that it gets an unnecessary bad rap. Miss me with the occasional bad CGI. If people can completely disregard the low level effort sfx Marvel's been putting out then there's no reason you can't here. They absolutely did! I think in response the cult of fans did a "positive" review bomb. There are plenty of PG-13 films that have had legit horror in them. It's the level of gore that separates it from being R rated. What's your point here? A complete snoozefest. Though I'm sure we'll be shamed for this observation, she strikingly resembled a troll in the face imo lol. Idk if it was intentional but she looked really old/tired in this particular movie, especially in comparison to her photos on an image search. Not an insult and yes, I think Bowen looks excellent here.
Also, the budget does NOT need to be that high. Damn!
I'm still wondering where was it spent in this film lol. Facts.
