No I felt the opposite. In the entire movie, Vernon is scared of Bender and not the opposite. Bender has real troubles at home every day, so compared to his home, this situation felt not that scary. He gets this every day, but he is alarmed that a teacher clearly threatens him: Bender clearly understands that Vernon wants him to hit him, so Vernon will have a clear proof of Benders bad character and a reason that Bender will be thrown out of school. Remaing calm and silent (the first time ever in the movie), its cleary Bender, who stays above in this situation, while unintentionally Vernon reveals his weaknesses to him. Vernon does not get what he wants (a publically accepted proof of Bender as a danger to society), while Bender gets a proof that his image of Vernon is true: a bullying adult, who will cross all limits justifying it with his position in the social hiearchy. Wow, that's incredible :D It seems since 2015 the bronotsaurus exists again, even if only in an extinct way Why should this alien eat cows? Why don't you go out and collect some slugs when you are hungry? Would be much simpler and cheaper than getting this elaborately processed cow meat for lunch. Waldo is introduced as a rich, excentric and self-centred man quite similar to the ridiculous bathtub scenes in "the women" He would be hiding in the clock - the cop punches the little door - ah here we have our killer! From his character, he certainly would check on Laura, but not kill her. He might kill her shortly before the marriage, but not 1/2 a week earlier. He rather would try everything that she looses interest in him, plan stategies, ... So the only thing that makes sense: Waldo knew that it was Diane and wanted to shoot her, so that Laura gets to know that her boyfriend was meeting another girl in her apartment. But then the maid made the mistake identifying her as Laura and Waldo could do nothing but play the game otherwise he would become the main suspect. Carpenter also played the game although he was in the flat as he still wanted to marry Laura (whom he knows to be alive) and wanted to get rid of the attention of him meeting another girl. You mean: how could the country be back to 1997 in a mere 20 years? The film just should have ended with the former cop kneeling in the forest revealing he knows the kid is Jason. - black - credits This would have been a really strong ending I would have left with - wow - just as I was stunned of Luke's drastic shot, his early fate and of the movie taking up an entirely different storyline - what was totally unexpected But everything after the forest scene is quite random - the story just is not about AJ or the succesful career of a cop and Jason already shows he follows his father's path by even getting a gun. The strong first part - Luke - had quite a misterious touch, a misterious end would have been great too! ... riding to the nearest bank Kofi is a very very common name in Ghana. Every male baby born in the South of Ghana on a Friday is called Kofi + receives a christian name when he survived the first seven days. Isn't this bad guy killed in the bathhouse and it's more like the last words he says are just: there is an agent among us? Yes, me 11 years later. But Never say die was 16 years earlier :D They talk about jungle red Poor Stephen - Crystal is the only side the women see of Stephens absence. In "the men" you would see what he is really doing all the time: drinking with his war buddies until late, bowling on weekends, showing off at his all-male office meetings... and in-between it is all about how to cheat best on their wives. Its not his hat, its his hair. Well, how do you react if you want alcohol and get water? You see, the woman in the dungeon was human after all. Fully agree Would have liked if seften had found out but the audience still were left to wonder who the spy was I thought the same. Would have been great if they had left it open for at least one character.
