Anyway, how is your sex life?

reply

Christians are anti- capitalism.

reply

I don't know where you hear that. I am a Christian and think capitalism works. Also, most socialists I know are people who aren't Christians. Also in the 1950s a lot of businesses were closed on Sundays and the economy was fine.

reply

All the Vikings that turned Christian became lazy.

reply

Some of them got crafty and took advantage of their status to go trading for stuff in mainland Europe. Not as fun as pillaging or plundering, though I wouldn't doubt they kept their swords handy, just in case.

reply

More time off to spend with friends and family? god forbid!

reply

Making money for yourself and family isn't important? Sorry hunnie and kids, but we didn't have the extra money to have a decent meal, or pay the cable bill cuz I don't work on Sundays and holidays anymore.

Sitting at home is more important in your opinion. You can't force people to live the lifestyle that you want to live.

reply

Actually, god encouraged this.

reply

This is why god created alcohol.

reply

I remember when things were shut down on Sundays by law - somehow we all survived.

reply

That was way before inflation.

reply

I guess you don't remember the 1970s or the 1980s. I still do.

reply

I don't believe in making those types of sacrifices. Maybe you do. Do you, I'll do me.

reply

How long you gonna last this time benny?

reply

I remember closed Sunday, and also a lot of stores were only open Thursday evenings here.

reply

I remember that.

reply

People would only work 3 days a week if I was in charge. I'm sure if everyone did the economics would balance and it would work.

reply

You also wouldn’t get paid holiday pay and time and a half on Christian holidays if it weren’t for Christians.

reply

That's not true.

reply

Yes it is Capitalism isn’t nice. They offer premium pay on popular holidays to incentivize working those days, or else people would rather take them off an celebrate. Christian holidays are the only ones widely enough celebrated to demand holiday pay.

It’s the same reason Sunday’s are premium pay in most places even to this day. It’s because it’s the day that most people go to church. There is no premium pay on Saturday (Jews) or Friday (Muslims) because not enough people go to church to disrupt business.

You just telegraphed you're very young!

Stores were closed on Sundays and holidays a few decades ago in the U.S.. Laws were changed to allow them to be open.

U.S. Supreme Court Upholds ‘blue Laws’ Banning Trading on Sundays

In 1961, the United States Supreme Court ruled on four different cases that sought to declare the Blue Laws unconstitutional. Two of the four cases involved Jewish litigants: Gallagher vs. Crown Kosher Super Market and Braunfeld vs. Brown. In all four cases, the Supreme Court upheld the existing laws.
