More time off to spend with friends and family? god forbid!
Making money for yourself and family isn't important? Sorry hunnie and kids, but we didn't have the extra money to have a decent meal, or pay the cable bill cuz I don't work on Sundays and holidays anymore.
Sitting at home is more important in your opinion. You can't force people to live the lifestyle that you want to live.
Actually, god encouraged this.

shareYes it is Capitalism isn’t nice. They offer premium pay on popular holidays to incentivize working those days, or else people would rather take them off an celebrate. Christian holidays are the only ones widely enough celebrated to demand holiday pay.
It’s the same reason Sunday’s are premium pay in most places even to this day. It’s because it’s the day that most people go to church. There is no premium pay on Saturday (Jews) or Friday (Muslims) because not enough people go to church to disrupt business.

Stores were closed on Sundays and holidays a few decades ago in the U.S.. Laws were changed to allow them to be open.
