There are a lot of funny movies named in this thread, many I accept as equally funny as Holy Grail, but none of them are funnier.

None of those movies does it for he, MPATHG was one of the funniest movies I ever saw when I saw it.
Maybe Borat, or The Dictator made me laugh as much possibly, but there was something really funny about the innocence and freshness of the MP comedy of the time.

Funnier than? None.

You consider 'Fight Club' to be FUNNIER than Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Holy cow! What's wrong with your mind?

Sheesh..

Anyways, it's hard to find movies that are actually funnier, as Monty Python and the Holy Grail is pretty much the .. Holy Grail of funny humor.

But other really funny movies include:

- Top Secret (it might include an exclamation point, but I don't respect that, so I drop it anyway)
- Wrongfully Accused
- The Naked Gun series
- Police Squad (the TV show)
- UHF
- Wayne's World
- Planes, Trains and Automobiles
- Spies Like Us
- Spy Hard
- Ruthless People
- The Police Academy series (some funny jokes here and there)
- National Lampoon's Vacation (I don't care about the other ones, they're not good imho)
- Mr. Bean (the TV show, not the movies - the movies are watered-down sewage)
- Loaded Weapon (not that funny as a whole, but some jokes just crack me up)
- Ernest Goes to Camp (actually not that funny, but that 1980s atmosphere+soundtrack and the 'magical ending', ahh - too many movies try to be too serious, I am glad this lets itself happen)
- Fletch (not that funny, but has great soundtrack+atmosphere and some fun moments, thoroughly enjoyable)
- Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (what can I say, I am a sucker for time-travel movies)
- Austin Powers series (James Bond-spoofs are always great fun)
- Ace Ventura I + II (the second one is a bit funnier)
- Liar, Liar (funnier than the Ace Ventura movies)
- Airplane I and II (no one ever talks about the second movie - not as funny, but it has some brilliant moments, especially with Shatner)
- Commando (this movie is SO nonsensical, stupid, silly, wacky, moronic and full of the most cringy one-liners ever, it's a must if you're feeling bad - you can't help laugh throughout the movie.)

A couple of movies I really want to like, but they always mostly bore me and fall flat. And yet I keep trying..

- Almost Heroes
- Robin Hood: Men in Tights
