What Franchises Are Left?

With this movie destroying the Indiana Jones franchise, how many iconic film franchises are still left? Star Wars was destroyed, Jurassic Park was destroyed, No Time to Die ruined James Bond, The Matrix destroyed, Rambo was ruined by Last Blood, Die Hard 5 ruined Die Hard, Alien has been destroyed, Harry Potter ruined by Fantastic Beasts, Terminator completely butchered, Toy Story was ruined by Toy Story 4, etc.

Mission Impossible is still good, but for how long? They didn’t ruin LOTR yet, but I assume they will. Back to the Future is safe, but for how long? Why is Hollywood obsessed with destroying classic franchises?

reply

Transformers has been on life support, Bumblebee made up for a little bit there's a new one out now.

reply

I actually like the last Matrix better than Matrix Revolutions.

reply

mad max, conan barbarian, beverly hills cop, lethal weapon, beast master, bill and teds.

are some people could argue about.

reply

They're still pretending they're making Lethal Weapon 5. That should be a fine disaster if it ever sees the light of day.

reply

Mad Max was killed by the feminist Sh!t stain Fury Road.

Beverly Hills cop was killed by Beverly Hills cop 3.

Beastmaster was killed when Beastmaster 2 came out and then the amazingly worse Beastmaster 3

Lethal Weapon was killed by the time of Lethal Weapon 3. The franchise was turned into an action version of The Three Stooges and then in the 4th one it was like watching the Cosby show with guns.

Bill and Ted was completely destroyed when Their daughters were the ones who saved the universe. You know, because in modern hollyweird white men suck!

Conan the destroyer was awful. It had a great cast and it should have been amazing, but it is painful to watch.

reply

Hannibal maybe. Hannibal trilogy (Silence of the Lambs - Hannibal - Red Dragon, the best movie trilogy of all time) and the tv-series were all good.

And I don't think No Time to Die destroyed Bond, now that I've seen it.

reply

Hannibal Rising was awful, so yeah that was ruined.

reply

American Graffiti, The Godfather, Rocky/Creed, Kill Bill

reply

Lucas killed American Graffiti at the end of the first movie. He was decades ahead of the Marxist takeover of the entertainment industry.

reply

American Graffiti was killed by its sequel. Yes, it has a sequel.

The Godfather was ruined with the third one.

Rocky was almost ruined by the 5th one, but the 6th one was able to redeem the 5th one. I haven't seen Creed III yet so i can't comment on it. but without Sly the first two movies would have been $h!t.

I hate Quenten Tarantino. So, I can't judge his movies. To me all of them suck.

reply

No Time to Die wasn't anywhere near as bad as some say, certainly not on the level of Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Matrix and The Terminator which all have just as many bad movies as good ones. The Fast & the Furious franchise is up there, but were those movies any good to begin with? Bill & Ted had a gnarly looking sequel recently.

A ruined TV show list would have Doctor Who, Top Gear and Star Trek. Not even a 'woke' thing per say, those shows just really nose dived in quality in every aspect.

reply

No Time to Die was well-made overall but the decision to kill Bond was a poor one and arguably ruined the whole movie.

reply

Are you being paid to write positive reviews of all recent movies or something?
I just checked your latest posts. They are all the same.

reply

What are you talking about? I said Dial of Destiny was bad

reply

Oh, I am sorry. I posted in the wrong tab.
It was meant for some guy who wrote he loved it and he loved the new Mermaid and a bunch of other horrid movies, written by talentless hacks.

reply

The OP doesn't do that. I like the ones were he calls people idiots.

reply

The Man With No Name and Back to the Future trilogies/franchises are the only old ones I can think of that are consistently good and that have remained untouched. If it could be considered a franchise on its own then I thought the Captain America trilogy was pretty good.

There are a few in which new movies have been added and they've improved the franchises - Mission Impossible, Mad Max. Again a small list.

reply

The Dollars Triology is the only one in which the first one was a classic and each succeeding one was twice as good as its predecessor.
