I don't follow their careers closely, but I'd probably put Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga in that category. I've heard some of their early demos and underground releases which were much more creative and thoughtful compared with their famous pop tunes and hyper-dramatic videos.
I accept the definition that would describe a person in any business who ignores their values in order to get rich, especially when they already have security and a healthy income.

This is why the trend bothers me so much. There's going to be so much focus on comic book heroes that supporting new dramas isn't going to be an option. We will have to just see old films with deeper themes.
This. Every time I get accepted to take a moviegoer survey, I'm abruptly disqualified when I answer that don't like superhero movies. Hollywood producers are so obsessed with making this stuff that they ignore people with differing interests. I'm beginning to think the only genre that will survive the superhero craze is Horror.
You didn't miss much. 73 hours of one disappointment after another. The last season is almost unwatchable.
That story reminded me of the quality of a show-within-a-show. It looks like it may be compelling to other fictional characters and plays like a parody of historical drama.

I agree with this. The constant stress, stupid mistakes, and general hopelessness got old really quick for me. I wanted a resolution, but the writers kept dragging it out.
I didn't know Damon broke up with Minnie Driver on TV. I expect she would want to forget that.
Oh, yeah. That's a major hurdle too. The producers want uniformity even if trying a different style would help make better songs. Musicians can get trapped by becoming popular.
I started to like her sound as I got older, but I do agree about changing the name. Same thing that should have happened after Lindsey left in the 80s. It's false advertising, much like INXS without Michael Hutchence.
Isn't that a usual pattern in entertainment? Artists generally start their careers with vigor and intense creativity, then grow old, contented and run out of great ideas. I like the early stuff for nearly every band I listen too. Maybe inspiration is a temporary gift.

I found that a few years ago. It's become one of my favorite music videos. Michael's voice is still so smooth.
The young and alive John Fitzgerald Kennedy. I have never understood this one. I've watched Kennedy documentaries before and heard several people - including "straight" men - comment on his chiseled features and athleticism. He was better looking than many other politicians and presidents, but not great looking. He must have had a charisma that I fail to detect.
