Tickets are 10-14 dollars where I live, not including marked-up refreshments. $6.50 would be a bargain, mid-day price. I think time and energy are even more precious than money, and by sitting through a bad movie just to see if it gets better is wasting your time twice: earning that money and spending time on a trash film. That's a big reason why people complain. There are very, very few movies that are worth watching in the theater, especially with recent prices. I also don't agree with hate-watching anything(I have made this mistake.) or the idea of "so bad, it's good" when it comes to entertainment. Producers have a responsibility to greenlight exceptional screenplays and filmmakers should be doing their absolute best to portray those stories. At least you fight it. I usually buy half the store. I've also heard the opposite argument from some people. They suggested that if you shop while full, you buy more purely balanced foods, but those are likely to sit in the kitchen going to waste because you don't really want them. I'd say there has to be a compromise: you eat just enough to maintain focus and glucose levels, but not so much that you lose interest in choosing good stuff that you will actually eat. The writers on TV shows always break confidentiality laws eventually, even on legal dramas. It seems like a lazy, unrealistic way to create drama. It does happen in real life, but there are serious consequences like being fined, losing one's license, and facing lawsuits.
