Everyone Say I Love You Broadway Danny Rose Paris at Midnight Classic film! Gene Tierney is a good femme fatale. Everyone watch if you have TCM! Well, for one, the car alarm going off. I thought it was something in the past that illustrated how the mom was going crazy. Turns out it was present, due to the nanny. The husband’s TV show - past. The rotting leg of kitchen meat - past The rotting car fish - present I semi-tuned out this episode, probably why I got confused at times. Eager to see what happens in last episode. Episode nine bugged me because I dislike the mother, who is unpleasant and insane. And she is the focus of Epi9. It was also hard to follow the timeline, to the point where I lost track of what was present and what was past. Perhaps this was by design? Don’t forget, the Thanos story took about twenty films and Ten years to complete. A Dark Phoenix storyline, starting now, could take ten years, too, and maybe Marvel Girl doesn’t become Phoenix until the last 2 films, give or take. So no, it’s not too early. I thought the Winona Ryder version was a bit too much like Anne of Avonlea, the PBS 80s version. Very similar dialogue and subplot. The old Hollywood 40s version, the actresses were a bit old, but what can you do? To the Devil a Daughter. 1976. Starred a young Natasha Kinski too. You never know! At this time, very unlikely. But given the prism of time and hindsight, Disney in the future might consider revisiting her. After all, if Han Solo can appear in 2 sequel films, why not a future Rey? It is much more likely that a cartoon version may appear in some TV show to fill in the gaps and make her a more well-rounded character Oh I agree. Rey’s development in the movies is problematic, to be polite. But there is potential that a future depiction of her in a TV show or movie could rectify this. Clone wars show did wonders for the prequels. Rey at the Disney parks is very friendly, very approachable, and and fantastic with kids. She is better than Rey in the movies. Watch some youtube vids to judge for yourself. I met her! Baby Yoda... still no plush toys yet. Hm. The ONE toy everyone wants, and it is nowhere to be found. I disagree. Anakin was created by the Emperor in the comics. Rey is also the Emperor’s spawn. Hence, Rey and Anakin are related, and the Skywalker lineage continues. Skywalkers and Palpatines are the same lineage. Were Ben and Rey kissing cousins then? Yes, it’s fun, moreso the Last Jedi. The plot was on par with RotJ. Yes, plenty of holes if onechooses to dissect it, but the acting was best of the sequels and the pacing zipped along. A solid popcorn film. The comics DO reveal that the Emperor is Anakin’s father. Hence, Rey is related, though not by name until she adopts the name of Skywalker. No order: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Superman: the Movie Superman 2 Man of Steel Akira Best order is 4-5-6-4-5-6-4-5-6, etc. toss in Rogue 1 every blue moon I have the Holdiay Special! I don’t have Last Jedi. I’ve watched the Holiday special more times than episode 7 and 8 combined. And had more “fun” too. :) Give us some film recommendations, then. As a film buff, I am interested to hear of any films I haven’t seen yet. I do like surreal films, like Persona, Woman of the Dunes, Molholland Dr., Solaris, Seventh Seal, Walkabout, etc. Humbug! Return to Oz was a remarkable film and portrayed the true Oz and is probable more canon than the vaudeville Technicolor 1939 version. I’ve read the Oz books, they are so dark! People die, death and danger are everywhere! That said, I do get what you’re saying. I personally choose to ignore Last Jedi. Dunno yet about RoS...., we’ll see... Plus, ONJ was a megastar in country and pop at the time. They even added Hopelessly Devoted to You just for her. Some folks forget that song was not part of the original Theater show. Hey, she’s actually a decent singer! Thanks for the clip.
