Will you refer to her as he now?

Because she told you so? Wiki already complied and erased her whole history as a she with only he. Who knew you could circumvent 32 years of she into he in one day.

reply

Will you refer to her as he now?

No, she said "they" is acceptable.

reply

Maybe they wanted it but it's still prototypical girl logic unlike what came out of the matrix oh

reply

'They' just doesent work as a replacement for he or she for me.

"new starter at work today"
"oh yeah do they wanna car pool?"

THAT works ok but what about:

"Did you ask Elliot about the restaurant tonight?"
"yes"
"Are they coming?"

NOT working properly!

reply

What not 'it'? Seems more appropriate when you can't classify a 'thing'.

reply

Never.

I don't entertain sick people's delusions. She needs professinal help and some drugs to stabilize her messed up brain.

reply

DNA, science and chromosomes determine gender....not feelings.

This poor lady first of all is in the most messed up industry...this industry eats up and spits out mental health.

What actors must see and endure to be part of their click must be horrendous. Especially children.

Any here mind and body are at conflict. She is not well. Her brain is telling her boy and her body given to here is s female.

You can change your way of thinking you cannot change your chromosomes.

reply

Yes, but that's because I don't give two shits what pronoun someone wants to go by. Whether or not I believe he is still a woman is irrelevant. He's happy as a transgender male, it means nothing to me to refer to him as such, so I'm fine with rolling with it.

reply

I agree that whatever makes him happy, makes him happy. I think everyone in life should be what makes him/her happy. I'll call him Elliott if he wants to be called Elliott.

However the idea that Ellen now ceases to exist is a little bit ridiculous, and I won't entertain that nonsense. So now people get pissy when you say Ellen was in juno, or Ellen played Kitty Pride....I'm sorry but Ellen DID star in those roles. From here on out Elliott will be starring in whatever acting roles you play, and I'll refer to those parts as Elliott. But everything before 2020 was Ellen. Just the facts

reply

More importantly is she now a straight cis male, she will lose those LGBT oppression points now she isn't a lesbian anymore.

Also acting roles. Does she go for female roles when she says (yes i said she) that she is a male, how does that work or does she go for male roles which is never gonna happen, not exactly many trans roles going about.

The general populus won't even know this is happening and so if they see her in a film as "Elliot Page" they will honestly think it is a mistake or a typo, movie goers will be confused to hell and just think "Who's elliiot, isn't that the pregnant chick from Juno"

reply

She’s now a straight white man, but has somehow managed to climb even higher on the Oppression Hierarchy.

reply

He wrote people can call him he/they so i will use those, yes.

reply

I'm ok with whatever a person wants to be "identified" with.
But I will not refer to a single person as "they", it's just stupid. Is E.Page a part of the royalty to be called "they", like a majesty?
I can call him he, she or it, and that's it.

reply

I agree. They sounds so ridiculous to me. Isn’t it a plural? Shouldn’t non-binary be referred as It (singular)? But I guess It sounds like a slur, like it is a thing not a person, maybe that is why.

Still They is so ridiculous, especially in my language, I don’t know maybe it sounds more normal to English native speaking people.

The other day I watched Star Trek Discovery and they had a character Adira come out as non-binary so They demanded to be referred to as They instead as a she. After, there was a dialogue when they (other characters) were talking about Adira, and it sounded so stupid and confusing, I felt like they were talking about multiple persons especially when I was reading subtitles in my language.

reply

Of course, if you don't you are automatically a bigot.
