I found a copy of Weekend At Bernie's 2 on VHS a few months ago. I paid 0.99 for it, but I wouldn't pay a cent more. Poor production quality and an even worse plot.
He would have sustained enough injuries to have died several times while being mishandled by Richard and Larry, making them responsible for Bernie's death instead. Get M. Night Shyamalan on the phone. What a twist!
I heard in the sequel the original Goonies hunt down Troy as an adult and make him go "Up Troy's Bucket". That scene alone gets it an NC-17 rating.
