I follow the same system. "A" or "The" are prepositions so I put that at the end so you don't end up with a lot of titles all lumped together by an insignificant word. BUDDY HOLLY STORY, THE CLIENT, THE FIGHTING 69TH, THE And so on. My ratings of what others watched (ones I've seen before): Texas Chainsaw (1974)- Groundbreaking for its time gets it a 7/10. Shutter Island- I used to watch it fairly often but haven't for a while. Some good performances 6/10. Silver Bullet- I love it and watch it periodically. Corey Haim portrayed a disabled person well and Gary Busey was his usual over-the-top self. 8/10. Carrie (1976)- Yep, they got what they deserved. 6/10 Five Easy Pieces- I'm about due for a re-watch, been a while. 7/10 A Reflection of Fear- Saw it for the first time recently. I agree, hownos; suffers from low budget but not bad. 6/10 My Ratings of what I watched this week: LONE WOLF MCQUADE- Yet again. My favorite Chuck Norris flick. Comic moments and the building East meets West duel with David Carradine. 7/10 MACON COUNTY LINE- I've always wanted to see this and finally had the chance to. Kept my interest throughout. 7/10 GREEN STREET HOOLIGANS- Brawl after brawl between English football 'fans'. It was worth watching a second time. 6/10 MULHOLLAND DRIVE- With David Lynch, you never know where the story is heading and you have to expect you'll watch it a few times to start getting the whole picture of where he's going. 8/10 DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) - UNRATED DIRECTOR'S CUT- Well done update to Romero's unbeatable 1978 film. 8/10 DAY OF THE DEAD (2008)- Entertaining remake. Hospital scene was a high point. 6/10 THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT (1972)- I haven't seen this one in... decades. Well done but very disturbing content and I skipped forward to the end at a certain point. 7/10. JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH (1959)- Watched this with my wife, another film I haven't seen in decades. Complete opposite of Last House. Clean entertainment. 8/10 If nothing else, it has been an amusing read. That's how it happened for both of my wives, my former who passed on 8 years ago and my current wife. I am blessed. 1. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) 2. The Andromeda Strain (1971) 3. Alien (1979) If you say so. I added 10; last one was Deliverance...? 1.Eden Lake (2008) 2. Sleepaway Camp (1983) 3. National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) 4. The Hills Have Eyes 5. Race with the Devil (1975) 6. Dead Calm (1989) 7. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) 8. THE OUT OF TOWNERS (1970) 9. Deliverance(1972) 10. A Perfect Getaway (2009) I look at that the same way. System 1 works better for me. I rarely buy any more but picked up some DVDs yesterday at a local library sale - 6 for $5. Well said. I've seen it too and when that's all the kind of "reviews" they give, I generally make my own decision on movies. I don't have much use for critics, anyway. For example, his performance in A Few Good Men (1992) or even Cocktail (1988) (which Elisabeth Shue makes even more enjoyable). I haven't seen Dwayne Johnson in very many movies but I really like San Andreas. The Rundown is decent too. I think Tom Cruise is a much better actor than most people give him credit for. The last movie I saw him in was Valkyrie (2008) so I don't know what he's done lately, but his earlier roles up through 1999 had quite a few good ones among them. I agree. Standards have slipped in the name of generated income. We have two geckos, a Leopard Gecko that's about 15 years old, and a juvenile Indo-Asian Gecko. I used to have a German Shepard / Basenji Mix who we had for 14-1/2 years. Best dog ever, so smart and caring. No 1. The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia (1981) 2. The Beatles: Yellow Submarine (1968) 3. The Hurricane (1999) 4. Convoy (1978) 5. Help! (1965) 6. Pink Floyd – The Wall (1982) 7. Ode To Billy Joe (1976) 8. Love Me Tender (1956) 9. Alice’s Restaurant (1969) 10. Tommy (1975) Give the victim's family the option of doing it themselves. Otherwise, firing squad.
